The holiday period is now well and truly over and everyone at Metrail is looking forward to an exciting and challenging year of growth in 2024.
In 2023 Metrail continued to build on its success as a tier one contractor for National Highways on the Scheme Delivery Framework. Metrail is a specialist supplier of concrete repairs, waterproofing and expansion joints on four separate framework contracts across the National Highways network.
2024 looks as if it going to be even busier!
The order book is building nicely and detailed planning is underway on a number of key projects. One of these is the waterproofing of a major junction of the M1 near Crick in National Highways Area 7. Metrail will act as Principal Contactor and the work is planned to commence in late Spring.
To support the expanding business in 2024 we are continuing to invest in our transport fleet and plant. New vans and tippers were delivered in January and more are on order.
Metrail continues to build on the success of its innovative slab stabilisation technology with interest from a number of customers. The 5km of the M180 that was stabilised in 2022 continues to perform as expected delivering ongoing maintenance savings to National Highways.
Marketing plans include attendance at Bridges 2024 at Coventry in March and Highways UK at the NEC in October as well a taking part in Local Council Roads Innovation Group events. We are looking forward to catching up with everyone at these events.
