In last year’s round of Scheme Delivery Framework awards Metrail secured contracts in four National Highway areas.
- One of these is Area 12 where Metrail is currently busy delivering maintenance services on the M1 and the A1 as Principal Contractor.
- Last week Metrail successfully completed works at Round Green Lane on the M1 which involved approximately 680 m2 of waterproofing to North and Southbound carriageways, plus installation of approx. 40m of new EMR50 expansion joint, 40m of buried joints and 25m of LEJ, in addition to overseeing and managing the surfacing and VRS elements of the scheme.
- On November 7 work will start on the A1(M) River Don. This involves both waterproofing and joint replacement. The scope of work will include 14x8m EMR 50 joints and 2x8m EMR 150 joints.
